Huawei's European City Replica Campus
Huawei has created an impressive campus called Ox Horn in Guangdong, China, which replicates architectural elements from 12 European cities. This 120-hectare complex, designed for 20,000 employees, features districts inspired by cities like Paris, Oxford, and Granada, complete with scaled replicas of iconic buildings such as the Palace of Charles V from the Alhambra.
The campus includes various amenities like restaurants, cafes, and recreational areas, aiming to attract a diverse workforce. Employees can travel between districts using electric trains or shared bicycles, enhancing mobility within this mini-city.
While Huawei's Ox Horn Campus stands out, it is part of a broader trend in China where several replicas of European cities exist. However, recent regulations may limit such architectural inspirations as the government seeks to promote more traditional designs.
