Ukraine Incursion Strengthens, Says Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian troops are strengthening their positions in the Kursk region of Russia, marking their deepest incursion since the start of the full-scale invasion over two years ago. Ukrainian forces have reportedly taken control of over 80 settlements and are continuing to advance further into Russian territory.
In response, Russia has condemned the incursion as a major provocation and vowed to retaliate. Russian forces claim to have repelled Ukrainian advances in several areas while also conducting attacks in eastern Ukraine, including the Kharkiv region.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to Ukrainian soldiers for capturing Russian military personnel and emphasized the importance of their efforts in the ongoing conflict. He assured that Ukrainian forces are actively working to repel Russian assaults and maintain control of the situation.
