Ferris Wheel Fire Injures 23 at German Music Festival
A fire broke out on a ferris wheel at the Highfield festival near Leipzig, Germany, injuring at least 23 people. The blaze began in one gondola and quickly spread to another on Saturday night, leading to four individuals suffering burns and one person injured from a fall. First responders, including four police officers, were also evaluated for potential smoke inhalation.
The incident prompted an investigation by the police to determine the cause of the fire. Fortunately, the operator confirmed that no passengers were in the gondola where the fire originated. As of Sunday morning, the condition of the injured remained unclear, and the total number of casualties had not been finalized.
