Mounir Nasraoui, the father of 17-year-old Spanish football star Lamine Yamal, was reportedly stabbed multiple times in a car park in Mataró, near Barcelona. The attack occurred after an earlier argument with a group of individuals he encountered while walking his dog. Catalan police have arrested at least three suspects in connection with the incident.

Nasraoui was taken to a Barcelona hospital in serious condition but is now reported to be stable. The motivation behind the stabbing remains unclear, and he is expected to stay in the hospital for observation for a few days.

Lamine Yamal recently gained recognition as Spain's youngest player and was named Young Player of the Tournament at Euro 2024, where he played a key role in Spain's victory over England in the final.
