Black Caviar, the legendary Australian racehorse known as the 'Wonder from Down Under,' has passed away at the age of 17. She achieved an impressive record of 25 consecutive race wins from 2009 to 2013, including a memorable victory at Royal Ascot in 2012. Her accolades include being named the world's best sprinter four times and Australian Racehorse of the Year three times.

Jockey Luke Nolen, who rode her to 22 of her victories, expressed the deep impact she had on his career and the racing community, calling her an equine hero. Black Caviar had been suffering from laminitis and was euthanized shortly after giving birth to a colt foal, a decision made for humane reasons.

Trainer Peter Moody reflected on the strong bond formed with her, highlighting her significance not just in racing but also in the hearts of her fans.
